CASCINA 1909
The name of our Cascina directly recalls the year of its foundation in 1909. This farmhouse was the meeting place of the small hamlet of San Silverio: here there was the well from which the neighboring farmsteads came to get their drinking water, and it was among our rooms that many of the “boys”, now almost centenarians, who still live in Priocca, were born.
The whole Cascina is pervaded by this energy of life and memories.
Our commitment is to keep that energy intact: in the renovation we have put great care and respect for the past, so that everyone can enjoy the charm of the history, while having all the comforts of modernity.
USEFUL INFO
BREAKFAST: Our breakfast is served from 8:30 am to 10:30 am. For different timetable we kindly ask you to inform us to verify the feasibility. We also ask you to report any food allergies or intolerances to avoid any inconvenience.
CHECK OUT: we kindly ask you to leave the room by 11 a.m. For different needs or extended check out, we kindly ask you to inform us to assess its feasibility
SUSTAINABILITY
At Cascina 1909 we believe in the value of sustainability and we are carrying out our philosophy with many small and large choices that are meant to lower the environmental impact of our facility.
For the irrigation of our garden we have a large cistern to collect rainwater: a way to avoid wasting precious water during periods of drought.
Hot water comes from solar panels installed on the roof, for reducing energy waste and to reduce gas consumption.
Photovoltaic panels deliver a large amount of electricity, stored in important storage batteries to improve our energy footprint.
To reduce plastic pollution we selected shampoo, conditioner and shower foam in the form of a soap bar. We beleive these products are pleasant and effective. However, we have a more traditional set of products to offer if you prefer. Please ask for a replacement. We appreciate feedback and strive to make every detail of your stay as comfortable as possible.
We sincerely thank you for your help in supporting our effort to reduce the environmental impact of our farmhouse.
- Turn off the air conditioning when you leave the room and do not use it when the windows are open
- Check that you have turned off the water in the bathroom and shower before leaving the room
- If towels can be used again, do not throw them on the floor
- Help us sort recycling materials. Leave your empty plastic water bottles on the table tops so that we may easily locate and recycle
SERVICES
Cascina 1909 is not just a beautiful oasis where you can relax. With our services we can help make your stay even more special
POOL: Our seasonal swimming pool is open from late May to mid-September. We kindly ask you to observe compliance with the regulations
TERRACE: our terrace is at the full disposal of all Cascina guests. It is located on the first floor, with access from the staircase on the left side
WHANT TO DRINK SOMETHING?: you can find a refrigerator with free access at the reception desk. Please feel free to serve: you will be charged at check out. You will also find the list of available wines by the glass and bottle. Or please ask us for any additional amenities
APERITIVO TIME: we are available to organize an aperitif on the terrace, or by the pool in summer or in front of the fireplace in the winter season. Choose your preferred wine or long drinks. We also offer charcuterie boards.
WINE TASTINGS: we can organize wine tastings for you directly at the farmhouse or at local wineries.
RESTAURANT: Cascina 1909 offers food service to guests of the facility with 24 hours notice. The menu is a synthesis of Piedmontese tradition, Abruzzese tradition and a dash of originality.
YOGA: Relaxing with a massage by the pool, or a private yoga class is possible. Reservations and a few days’ notice are required.

FORGOT SOMETHING?
Earplugs, dental hygiene set, hair straightener, additional hair dryer are available at the reception desk. Additional towels and pool towels are also available. We will be at your disposal in case of additional requests or needs.
FEEDBACK AND REPORTS
We pay attention to detail and hope everything is in order. However, if there is any problem with the facility please report and we will try to promptly fix it.
